The Conmed System 5000 offers the following advanced, precise, and easy-to-use modes: General mode, Fluids mode, Laparoscopic mode, Pulse cut mode, Unique Pulse Coag mode, and Multipolar Bipolar modes. This device allows surgeons to modify and customize character outputs. It uses Dynamic Response Technology to deliver continuous synchronization of current and voltage. It can read tissue impedance in less than 10 milliseconds and delivers an accurate amount of voltage as needed. It has user-programmed settings to quickly change into preferred configuration of surgeons. It can be used together with a Conmed AER Defense smoke evacuator for enhanced functionality. It also has stacking adapters to accommodate a sealing vessel system or another System 5000 for further energy needs. Surgeons can make power adjustments using hand-controlled electrosurgical pencils from within the surgical field.
