Video laryngoscopes are medical instruments used to facilitate tracheal intubation during general anesthesia or cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Video laryngoscopes make use of camera blades that can connect to a compatible video monitor, and hold the camera, LED light source, and an anti-fogging mechanism. A single-use blade is attached to a re-usable baton during use and disposed of afterwards, while a reusable blade has an integrated camera system and can undergo reprocessing procedures.
