MED buys retired, replaced and surplus medical equipment directly from hospitals, health systems, surgery centers, imaging centers, practices and universities. Since 2007. One unit or a whole department, purchased outright, deinstalled and removed on your schedule, with one written agreement and one point of contact.

What MED buys

  • Surgical and operating room: surgical tables, lights, electrosurgical units, surgical microscopes, endoscopy towers, flexible and rigid scopes, video systems, power tools and instruments.
  • Biomedical: patient monitors, ventilators, anesthesia machines, infusion pumps, defibrillators, sterilizers, ECG and stress systems, by the unit or by the fleet.
  • Imaging: ultrasound systems, C-arms, and MRI, CT, X-ray, cath labs, mammography and linear accelerators, purchased and professionally deinstalled.

Three ways to start

  1. Send a list. Manufacturer, model, quantity, location and the date it needs to be gone. A spreadsheet or a photo of the asset tags is enough.
  2. Send photos. The unit, the label with model and serial, and anything you know about its condition. Please keep patient information out of photos and files.
  3. Call 508-996-9005. Tell us what you are retiring and we take it from there.

How a purchase works

  1. Valuation. MED values the equipment against current market data, supply and demand, and sends a written offer.
  2. Agreement. Purchase price, deinstall and removal responsibilities, payment and schedule are set out in one agreement before anything moves.
  3. Removal. MED handles deinstallation, rigging, packing and transport around your access windows. Data-bearing devices are wiped and documented.
  4. Payment. As agreed, on the schedule in the agreement.
