GE Corometrics 172 Fetal Monitor is a highly portable and cost-efficient unit capable of delivering the basic fetal monitoring needs. It offers 9-Crystal Pulsed Doppler Ultrasound technology providing a wide-beam profile for high-quality fetal heart rate detection. It has a clear LED screen that displays easy-to-read information on fetal heart rate and uterin activity. It is capable of doing dual ultrasound for twin pregnancies and has Independent volume controls help transducer placement for easier navigation and operation. The Heartbeat Coincidence feature makes sure the device is not monitoring the same fetus (for twin pregnancies) and its optional Fetal Movement Detection feature monitors movement and automatically records data on strip chart paper. It also has customizable low/high fetal heart rate alarms.
