The Leica M500 is a surgical microscope for use in the field of Ophthalmology, such as cataract surgeries. Developed and designed by Leica Microsystems to simplify a surgeon's task, the M500 is a compact, easy-to-handle, and versatile operating microscope that is it well suited not only for ophthalmic applications but also for neuro, spine surgery, and ENT procedures.
The M500 surgical microscope is provided with a dual 21-volt 150-watt light source and an inclinable, widefield binocular. It is also equipped with a versatile objective lens (f=200mm). These features allow the microscope to deliver crisp and razor-sharp images with enhanced optical clarity.
Equipped with a 17-inch LCD monitor, the medical personnel can view the scanned anatomical part with clarity. It is also provided with a foot switch designed to electrically control a number of functions of the microscope.
