Philips Avalon CTS Cordless Fetal Transducer System M2720A is a reliable monitor that allows (when connected to a compatible monitor) continuous and cordless patient monitoring from antepartum period, to labor and delivery, giving patients freedom to move about. It measures the following: Fetal Heart Rate, Uterine Pressure using Toco transducer, and maternal ECG using ECG transducer. It features a Toco transducer that can continuously monitor Fetal Heart Rate invasively (using direct electrocardiogram) or non-invasively (using ultrasound). This device has connectivity to Base Station which can be given its own bed label to let the physician know which bed station an active transducer belongs to. The transducer can be charged or registered to a base station only when it is docked on a base station slot. All Toco and ultrasound transducers are waterproof up to a depth of 0.5m for 5 hours, but cordless monitoring capabilities are lower when monitoring patients underwater.
