Philips Avalon FM50 Maternal/Fetal Monitor is a cutting-edge monitor delivering intrapartum fetal monitoring and maternal monitoring needs. Its Smart Plus feature allows the device to separately monitor the heart rate of the fetus from the heart rate of the mother, and it allows automated maternal pulse detection via the Toco transducer. It can monitor the following optional parameters: up to 3 fetal heart rates, fetal movement, DECG, MECG, and ECG via Toco transducer, uterine activity or intrauterine pressure, and maternal blood pressure and SPO2. It has Avalon Cordless Transducer System connectivity, which means that wireless maternal monitoring is possible from up to 100 meters. It can also connect to IntelliSpace Perinatal, which delivers continual care from the first antepartum visit to delivery, postpartum, newborn nursery, discharge, and postpartum follow-up visits. It can be connected to OB TraceVue via USB port and has an NST timer for antepartum applications. It has an optional thermal array recorder and configurable Smart Keys at the bottom of the monitor for easy operation and configuration.
