The Smith & Nephew 400 7209931 Insufflator has a unique TAP feature, which delivers warm Carbon Dioxide gas during delicate endoscopic procedures. It uses an inline mechanism in close proximity to the patient, to deliver the warmed gas to the patient with optimal effectiveness. Warmed gas helps reduce the risk of hypothermia, promoting high safety to patients. It has additional safeguards to prevent unintentional changes in gas flow rate and abdominal pressure during the procedure.
For maximum safety, it has a stop feature that prevents intra-abdominal pressure from going beyond 15 millimeters of Mercury. This helps avoid human error, and guarantees that intra-abdominal pressure remains at acceptable levels.
