The Stryker 1588 Camera Console or Camera Control Unit (CCU) is the control center for the 1588 AIM Camera. It receives data from the camera and processes video and photographic images during surgical procedures. Through its touchscreen, different controls can be accessed which includes adjusting the light level, zoom level, and white balance. It also allows the user to select a Surgical Specialty setting, which optimizes camera performance for a specific surgical procedure.
The console can connect to several viewing and recording equipment. When connected to a Stryker device control console, it enables voice operation and control using a graphic tablet. It has one analog S-video port with 4-pin connector, and two digital DVI ports with 29 pin connector for monitors. These DVI connectors are compatible with analog output, with the use of a DVI-I to VGA adapter.
