The Stryker X8000 220-200-000 Light Source is designed to provide the needed illumination to surgical sites during delicate endoscopic procedures. It uses a 300-watt Xenon bulb to generate light and meet the demands of Progressive Scan High Definition imaging. It is compatible with any Stryker light cables, and can connect to any flexible or rigid endoscope with the right light cable and adapters.
It has two modes, one is Activate mode used during normal operation. In this mode, the brightness controls on the LCD display is used to adjust the intensity of its light output. When it is powered on but not in use, it switches to Standby mode. The light output is reduced to a minimum in this mode, effectively decreasing the heat generated at the tip of the light cable or scope. The X8000 is also equipped with Electronic Scope Sensing Technology (ESST), a special safety feature. When the light cable and the scope is disconnected, the Standby mode is turned on. This helps avoid accidental fires or burns by preventing the light cable from generating excessive heat.
