The Valleylab Ligasure Vessel Sealing System can permanently seal vessels up to 7 millimeters in diameter and tissue bundles as large as the jaws of the device can take. It minimizes sticking or thermal spread to nearby tissues. It has a feature that issues alerts on unsuccessful seals and recalls previous settings used. It can be activated by handswitch or footswitch. The Instant Response Technology automatically adjusts the voltage output to achieve a consistent effect across tissue densities.
