The Verathon Glidescope Cobalt Monitor delivers clear TFT display of images from the camera live feed of the laryngoscope. Its front panel houses intuitive buttons that gives access to its functions: record videos, access videos from storage, provide an external display to another monitor, and conveniently indicate its battery power level. To facilitate better and more efficient device operation, it is equipped with a tutorial button. Its back panel contains a video-out HDMI port that connects with an external medical-grade DVI monitor, and a USB port where a storage media can be inserted and used for saving recorded videos and captured images. The back panel also contains both the video baton port which receives live feed from the video laryngoscope, and the mounting plate which allows it to easily attach to a mobile stand or IV pole.
In addition, the Verathon Glidescope Cobalt Monitor also has smart features that automatically detect and warn if there is no storage media connected, warn if the USB drive is not compatible with the system, or when there is no video cable attached to the monitor. It also has an effective battery indicator LED: green when fully charged, red when charging, and flashing red when there is a problem with the battery.
