The Verathon Glidescope Ranger Video Baton 3-4 is an imaging component of the Glidescope Ranger system for single-use configurations. The camera, LED light source, and anti-fogging mechanism are all integrated into the video baton. It is intended for procedures that accommodate body sizes starting from 22 pounds (10 kg) to morbidly obese patients, depending on the Stat used. It is directly connected to the video monitor for real-time feed, while the video baton is inserted to a disposable Stat. When the procedure is done, the Stat is considered as biohazard and is disposed of in accordance with local health guidelines. This reusable device protected from contaminants by the single-use Stat making the video baton non-sterile. Every after use low-level disinfection of the video baton is recommended, but it may also require high level disinfection in instances where it is visibly soiled.
