The Zeiss OPMI Pico is a high-precision surgical microscope designed to deliver high fidelity images acquired during routine examinations and surgical procedures. The OPMI Pico is easy to use, versatile, mobile, and compact which makes it specifically well-suited for Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) applications.
The OPMI Pico is equipped with a manual Carl Zeiss magnification changer that has a 1:6 ratio in 5 steps. It is provided with objective lenses with different focal lengths in the range of 200mm to 400mm and graded in 5 steps. It also features fine focus objective lenses having focal lengths of 200mm, 250mm, 300mm. These features give the Pico unparalleled focusing abilities and razor-sharp images.
The surgical microscope also allows the surgeons to precisely position and easily use the device by providing a T-handgrip designed for exact positioning. The microscope is also provided with high-eyepoint eyecups which allow the user to comfortably use the device. The OPMI Pico's ergonomic, compact, and streamlined design allows clinicians to use the microscope while sitting which further increases comfort while using the Pico.
The Pico ENT microscope uses a 100-watt halogen for illumination. It can also use the Superlux 180, a 180-watt xenon lamp with daylight color temperature. The microscope is powered by an Otopront Halogen, LED or Super Bright LED light source. This light source is attached to the microscope which can reduce the weight of the whole device while optimizing the lighting conditions.
