The Sony LMD-1950MD Endoscopy Monitor incorporates high contrast and high clarity 1280 x 1024 resolution to deliver extreme levels of brightness, contrast, and color depth that are critically needed in the operating room. It is equipped with a 10-bit digital video processor that reproduces realistic images with precise colors and consistent grayscale, and it makes no difference whether the subject is moving or not. This feature is also responsible for producing images with smooth transition in hues, shades, and textures. Additionally, it can integrate seamlessly with existing OR imaging systems due to its numerous options for analog and digital input sources - Composite, Y/C, RGB, Serial (RS-232C), HD15, and DVI.

Several of its features offer convenience during procedures. Its key-inhibit function is very useful in preventing accidental adjustments of its settings by disabling the buttons on the control panel. Its ability to switch from 4:3 (fullscreen) to 16:9 (widescreen) poses no problem in adapting to the aspect ratio of video sources. Also, its full VESA compliance makes it ideal for mounting on surgical equipment arms, walls, or to a surgical cart/stand.
