The Sony UP-55MD Color Video Printer is a high definition analog video printer for use with medical diagnostic equipment. With its Dye Sublimation technology, it can produce up to 16,700,000 colors which results to photo-realistic quality prints. It uses Dye Sublimation technology to produce over 16 million colors. In terms of speed, it only takes 20 seconds to print images in full HD resolution. Its images are stored in JPEG format, and can be copied to a USB flash drive through its USB port on the front panel. This makes it possible for doctors to use such images in their medical reports, presentations, and for any other documentation purposes. In addition, it has a multiple print mode feature. This allows the printing of a single image in full, or with two/four/eight images split across a single sheet.
