The Olympus GIF-H190 is a versatile video gastroscope used for gastrointestinal endoscopy applications in hospitals and clinics. Capable of delivering HDTV image quality and featuring a slim design, it is ideal for performing optical visualization and observation of mucosal morphology, vascular patterns, and blood vessels. It is equipped with Narrow Band Imaging (NBI) technology which can provide twice the viewable distance of the scopes. The HD NBI is configured to create a visual contrast which helps in the analysis of the mucosal morphology, vascular patterns, and blood vessels even from patients with Barrett's esophagus. Its slim design gives it an improved balance of size and performance, having a distal end with outer diameter measuring 9.2 millimeters, an insertion tube with outer diameter measuring 9.2 millimeters, an instrument channel with inner diameter measuring 2.8 millimeters, a 4-way angulation system, and a broad 140-degree field of view. The GIF-H190 also has a waterproof one-touch connector designed to minimize effort for setting up the device, and can be fully submerged to eliminate the need for a water-resistant cap and the associated risk of costly repairs due to accidental immersion.
