The Puritan Bennett 960 Ventilator is a versatile and state-of-the-art ventilator which can be used in a variety of settings including hospitals, clinics, and home care. Equipped with an intuitive and configurable touchscreen, unparalleled safety features, greater connectivity, enhanced patient monitoring system, and unique synchrony tools, the 960 Ventilator is engineered and specifically designed to help patients breathe more naturally.
The 960 Ventilator is equipped with a touchscreen monitor which provides access to the five graph and loop layout options. Designed to be easily used and reconfigured, the graphs displayed can be scaled and enlarged to enhance the visibility. In addition to displaying patient data for consistent workflow and documentation, it can also limit the data being displayed.
The Ventilator also ensures the patient safety since the 960 is equipped with a unique ventilation assurance feature that enables continuous ventilation support when a system failure occurs. It is also provided with a standby mode which stops the ventilation and preserves the settings in the event where the patient is disconnected. Two batteries can be accommodated within the Puritan Bennett 980 and these batteries can be changed without the need to power down the ventilator. The enhanced filtration system guards the whole device against possible entry of infection and contamination.
The Puritan Bennett 960 Ventilator is equipped with a digital communication board which features several USB ports for connection to external drives, and an HDMI output port. The patient monitoring system is provided with a proximal flow sensor which measures a number of parameters at the patient wye. It is also equipped with a number of synchrony tools such as the PAV+ software that enables the ventilation system to be set-up based on the patient's needs.
