The SonoSite rP19x Ultrasound Probe is a phased array transducer that emits soundwaves from 5 to 1 MegaHertz and has a scan depth of 35 centimeters. It is ideally used in abdominal ultrasound to help diagnose pain or enlargement and evaluate internal organs in the upper abdomen, lung ultrasound for the assessment of depth for effusions, consolidations and extension of B-Lines, and cardiac ultrasound to look at the size, shape, and motion of the heart. It is also used in obstetric ultrasound to screen for and diagnose birth defects or hereditary conditions, and transcranial doppler (TCD) ultrasound to evaluate blood flow (blood circulation) in and around the brain. The SonoSite rP19x is compatible with the Sonosite Edge II and SonoSite SII ultrasound systems.
