The GE T2000 Treadmill features an extra margin of safety for patients with its extra-long 60-inch treadmill surface. It is built with full front and side rails to provide support for patients. Once in motion, it can be gradually slowed to a stop or through the use of an emergency button which stops the machine immediately. In terms of acceleration, it is designed to start from a standstill and build up speed slowly to accommodate patients who are extremely weak. This treadmill can accept even patients who have heavier body type, since it has a 450-pound weight capacity. Even with a heavy load, it can still work quietly due to its few moving parts and can reach a maximum speed of 13.5 miles per hour.
