The Philips Brilliance 40 is a precision 40-Slice head and whole-body computed tomography (CT) scanner designed to obtain high-resolution images over a wide range of applications. High-powered, compact, and versatile, the Brilliance 40 is a CT scanner that is equipped with Philips' premium technologies so as to reduce the scanning time, decrease the radiation dose, enhance the workflow efficiency, and improves patient comfort and safety.
The multi-slice CT scanner is designed to complete a full gantry rotation in 0.4 seconds and can perform lightning quick reconstruction speeds. The quick rotation speed and reconstruction speed allow the scanner to deliver two features improve the spatial resolution, the quality of the image, and increase the scan information without having to increase the dose.
The Brilliance 40 is also equipped with the award-winning Brilliance workspace. It allows the users to obtain accurate results on the first scan and enables superior options for viewing and sharing images. The CT scanner also features the DoseWise technology, a Philips system designed to lower dose without reducing the quality of the image. This system also ensures that the patients are safe due to the reduced radiation dose.
These features are combined with other high-end Philips systems to make the Brilliance 40 ideally well-suited for a wide variety of applications including, but not limited to cardiovascular, oncology, radiology, and orthopedics. It can also be used in organ perfusion studies, coronary artery imaging, pulmonary imaging and critical care.
