The Mindray DPM 5 is a portable patient monitor to be utilized by trained healthcare professionals to monitor, record, and alert in case of emergency among, several physiological parameters of a single adult, pediatric and neonate patient. Its compact, lightweight frame houses a 12.1-inch color TFT LCD capable of displaying up to 8 waveforms as well as seamless integration of functions such as parameter measurement, waveform monitoring, freezing, and recording. Optional data analysis of 3 to 5-lead ECG, NIBP, SpO2, pulse rate, respiration, dual-channel invasive blood pressure and dual-channel temperature, as well as data printing, are among its basic features, while more advanced mounting configurations for more complex analyses, are available for separate purchase, including arrhythmia detection and ST Segment analysis. However, the two latter optional functions are intended only for adults and pediatrics. In the event of a power loss, the DPM 5? lithium-ion battery serves as an emergency power supply, allowing the unit to backup data as well. This monitor is not intended for home or out-of-hospital use.
