The Terumo Advanced Perfusion System 1 is a versatile and compact heart-lung machine designed for use in cardiac surgery. The modular design and built-in features of the System 1 enable the platform to be configured for the current and future needs in the field.
The System 1's compact and space-saving base comes with the choice of brackets and holders. This feature enables the correct setup of pump configuration without the need for expensive hardware. The pumps, whether they are mounted on the base or the pole, are provided with rotating raceways to decrease the circuit length and the hemodilution.
The System 1 can be configured based on new protocols and individual patient needs. The cardiopulmonary bypass pump's flexibility enables the users to manage a specific case based on the definition of safety connection and responses, the utilization of the Central Control Monitor, and the implementation of the machine's built-in advanced capabilities.
The System 1 is capable of integrating up to 18 safety and monitoring modules in addition to an internal battery that serves as backup power in case of power failure. It can support up to eight pumps, including two centrifugal pumps. The heart-lung machine also features a state-of-the-art Central Control Monitor. The Central Control Monitor is a high-resolution touchscreen computer designed to be used as a safety monitor and the central interface for operating the machine.
