The GE Logiq i Portable Ultrasound is a compact and portable ultrasound system and ideal for use in areas with limited space like the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), clinics and offices, or home-care settings. Due to its lightweight build, it can be transported with ease to wherever there is a need for scanning and even bring high level ultrasound imaging to a patient's point of care. It is designed to provide high performance to abdominal, obstetrics, gynecology, vascular, musculoskeletal, small parts, pediatric, neonatal, cardiac, and intraoperative scanning applications. It is also equipped with superior image manipulation capability. For example, its Speckle Reduction Imaging in High Definition (SRI-HD) reduces the grainy appearance inherent in ultrasound resulting to clearer images. This enhancement is also used for organ-specific imaging, and present organs and lesions with more clarity. CrossXBeam imaging is another image processing technique which results to improved border detection and differentiation.
In addition, its 15-inch color LCD monitor and 1024x768 resolution adds to the high quality image display. The system is also equipped with an alphanumeric QWERTY keyboard with ergonomic hard key operation and dedicated function keys. Some keys have a backlight feature, allowing convenient operation even under dimly lit settings. It also offers easy management of stored images in its 40GB internal hard drive. The images can be retrieved, printed, deleted, or exported through its USB port or through the optional wireless LAN feature.
