The GE Vivid e Portable Ultrasound delivers high performance in comprehensive cardiovascular imaging and full shared service capabilities. It is equipped with a stress echo package with numerous integrated tools that conveniently bring stress testing right into the office. It provides superior caliber visual feed with its high resolution 15-inch LCD monitor, while its TruScan technology gathers raw data without altering the original image quality. Its CrossXBeam imaging technology combines three or more frame from different angles to create a single image which has improved border definition and differentiation. The Speckle Reduction Imaging (SRI) is another image enhancement function which reduces the effects of speckle or "noise" inherent to ultrasound images, resulting to smoother images. This portable ultrasound also uses various transmit frequencies for optimized penetration and resolution.

It also offers easy device operation with its intuitive controls, dedicated buttons, trackball and QWERTY keyboard. It has ample space for storing diagnostic data with its 40GB internal hard drive, or it can integrate into an existing local network and store files to a central database. USB ports are provided for easily exporting ultrasound examination files from its hard drive. In addition, TEE imaging grants it added capabilities to make it a cost-effective solution that can work flexibly in various clinical environment.
