The SonoSite C11E Ultrasound Probe is a curved array type, which operates at 8 to 5 MegaHertZ and produces a trapezoidal field of view. The low frequency gives it a deeper penetration depth of about 10 centimeters. It is intended for abdominal ultrasound, which produces pictures of the structures within the upper abdomen, to help diagnose pain or enlargement and evaluate the kidneys, liver, gallbladder, bile ducts, pancreas, spleen and abdominal aorta. It is also used in nerve ultrasound for the diagnosis of peripheral nerve disorders. Additionally, it is used for vascular ultrasound to evaluate arteries or veins in nearly any part of the body, including blood vessels in the neck, abdomen, arms and legs. The SonoSite C11E Ultrasound Probe is compatible with the SonoSite MicroMaxx ultrasound system.
