The SonoSite C8 Ultrasound Probe is an 8-millimeter curved array transducer type, which operates at 8 to 5 MegaHertz and has a scan depth of 8.5 centimeters. It is meant for endocavity ultrasound applications, such as examination of the vagina or the rectum. It is also used in prostate ultrasound to investigate when a nodule is found during a rectal exam, detect abnormalities, and evaluate whether the gland is swollen. Additionally, it is used in urological ultrasound to examine and evaluate internal organs in the urinary tract such as the kidneys, adrenal glands, ureters, urinary bladder, urethra, and the male reproductive organs which include the testes, epididymis, vas deferens, seminal vesicles, prostate, and penis. The SonoSite C8 Ultrasound Probe is compatible with the SonoSite Titan, SonoSite MicroMaxx, and SonoSite M-Turbo ultrasound systems.
