The SonoSite SLAx Ultrasound Probe is an intraoperative linear array transducer that emits soundwaves from 13 to 6 MegaHertz and has a scan depth of 6 centimeters. It is ideally used in musculoskeletal ultrasound to produce pictures of muscles, tendons, ligaments and joints throughout the body and help diagnose sprains, strains, tears, and other soft tissue conditions. It is also used in vascular ultrasound to evaluate the body? circulatory system and help identify blockages in the arteries and veins and detect blood clots in nearly any part of the body including blood vessels in the neck, abdomen, arms and legs, and nerve ultrasound for the diagnosis of peripheral nerve disorders and also to identify other structures that can complicate surgical procedures. The SonoSite SLAx is compatible with the SonoSite M-Turbo and SonoSite Edge ultrasound systems.
