The Drager Evita XL Ventilator is a mechanical ventilation system designed for long-term use in the intensive care ward or in the recovery room. The Evita XL is specifically designed to minimize patient risk, improve patient comfort, accurately tailor treatment needs, and efficiently, safely, and quickly get the patients off the ventilator.
The Evita XL Ventilator allows the medical personnel to accurately and easily tailor treatments by utilizing a number of features, modes, and modalities. The ventilation modes include Continuous Mandatory Ventilation (CMV), Synchronized Intermittent Mandatory Ventilation (SIMV), Mandatory Minute Volume Ventilation (MMV), Spontaneous Breathing (SB), Pressure Controlled Ventilation Plus (PCV+), Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP), Biphasic Positive Airway Pressure (BiPAP), Pressure-supported spontaneous breathing (PSupp), and Independent Lung Ventilation (ILV).
The ventilation system also offers an unparalleled recovery support by providing an invasive and non-invasive ventilation and oxygen therapy which help improve the workflow and reduce the risk of re-intubation. Featuring an advanced leakage compensation feature in Non-Invasive Ventilation (NIV), the Evita XL is responsive and reliable during tidal volume delivery even when there are high leakages. This allows for smooth ventilation and better patient comfort and minimizes patient risk.
The Drager ventilation system helps to get patients off the ventilator safely, quickly, and efficiently by utilizing the SmartCare/PS automated weaning system. It is also provided with an open breathing system with MMV which ensures that patients will receive a pre-set volume regardless of the spontaneous breathing level.
