The Olympus BF-P190 is a fully-portable video bronchoscope used for bronchoscopy applications in hospitals and clinics. It is built with improved tip angulation and maneuverability to provide unparalleled access to the peripheral airways, while its new CCD on the tip delivers high-resolution image quality. It uses Narrow Band Imaging (NBI), an image enhancement technology that creates a visual contrast of vessels on the mucosal surface. It is capable of wider upward angulation of up to 210 degrees for smoother insertion into the upper lobe bronchi, and it allows for more bending in the scope when an EndoTherapy device is inserted in its working channel. Its insertion tube is also redesigned so that it can be rotated left or right up to 120 degrees by a simple turn of a ring on the control section, reducing operator fatigue and facilitating smooth insertion. It is also built with a new fully submersible connector which eliminates the risk of accidental immersion.
