The Puritan Bennett 540 Ventilator is a versatile mechanical ventilator which can be used to provide respiratory support in hospitals and remote facilities. The lightweight and compact 540 Ventilator can be used for adult and pediatric patients requiring ventilatory support, including positive pressure ventilation, Assist/Control, SIMV, CPAP modes of invasive or non-invasive ventilation, and Breath-type Volume Control, Pressure Control, and Pressure Support. All these features help the device bring comfort to the patient in a manner that is safe and efficient.
The 540 Ventilator is equipped with an internal lithium-ion battery that provides up to 11 hours of ventilator operation. It is provided with a Real-Time Battery Life Indicator and ventilation parameter alarm settings to give healthcare providers with real-time information.
The ventilator is lightweight and compact which allows the device to be easily transported and can easily transition from hospital to home use. While it is designed to operate quietly, it features a multiple alarm system that increases the utilization efficiency of the 540 Ventilator and enhances the safety of the patient.
The 540 is provided with an easy-to-read display and an intuitive, menu-driven navigation which further enhances the ease-of-use of this medical device. It comes with standard and optional accessories that include the external battery, dual backpack bag, remote cable, filters, and a car charger.
