The SonoSite L25E Ultrasound Probe is a 25-millimeter linear transducer that operates at a frequency of 13 to 6 MegaHertz and has a scan depth of 6 centimeters. It is used in vascular ultrasound to examine the circulation in the blood vessels of the body, evaluate the body? circulatory system and help identify blockages in the arteries and veins, and detect blood clots in blood vessels in the neck, abdomen, arms and legs. It is also used in nerve ultrasound for the diagnosis of peripheral nerve disorders and also to identify other structures that can complicate surgical procedures. Another of its application is in musculoskeletal ultrasound to produce pictures of muscles, tendons, ligaments and joints throughout the body and help diagnose sprains, strains, tears, and other soft tissue conditions. The SonoSite L25E Ultrasound Probe is compatible with the SonoSite MicroMaxx ultrasound system.
