The Sony UP-X898MD Video Printer is a compact and light medical grade thermal printer designed and built for documenting minimally invasive surgical procedures. It uses advanced thermal printing technology to deliver crisp photo-quality black & white prints, with a high resolution up to 325 dpi and grey levels up to 256 steps. In its high speed mode, it takes less than two seconds to produce A6-size printouts. Also, the LCD display on the front panel is now bigger, for simpler and more efficient device operation. Still on its front panel, an intuitive joystick helps in fast navigation of its menu and a new Auto Lock function prevents accidental changes to its print settings.
There is more flexibility with the Sony UP-X898MD since it can accept both analog and digital video source through its composite and usb ports. In addition, an optional Wireless Print System can establish a cable-free connection between the printer, mobile C-arm and other hospital imaging modalities.
