The ACMI DUR-8 Elite Fiber Ureteroscope is designed to provide clinicians with greater control over the distal tip of the endoscope during therapeutic and diagnostic procedures. It is a flexible ureteroscope that permits visualization of the urethra, bladder, ureter, and kidney. It can also be used to examine the bile ducts, and through optional accessories, to perform various diagnostic and interventional procedures during cholecystectomy. The DUR-8 Elite is built with a secondary deflection control lever to assist in positioning and advancing the instrument, which gives it flexibility to perform even under certain anatomical conditions. Reprocessing the DUR-8 Elite requires three steps: cleaning through protein-dissolving enzymatic detergent, disinfection through immersion in 2.4% activated alkaline glutaraldehyde solution, and sterilization using ethylene oxide (EO) gas. This thorough reprocessing ensures high patient safety in every procedure.
