The AMO Whitestar Signature is a phacoemulsifier used for cataract surgery and cataract extraction procedures performed in hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers. Designed for ease of use, efficiency, versatility, and reliability, the Whitestar Signature is a full-featured system which can also be used for facilitating anterior segment (cataract) surgery.
The Whitestar Signature features AMO's patented Fusion Fluidics to provide improved chamber stability even at higher vacuum and flow settings. The Fusion Fluidics is designed to adapt to changes in vacuum automatically based on pre-set specifications. It also has a surge-prevention technology which enables the use of high vacuum and flow settings to decrease phaco time while increasing its efficiency.
The Whitestar Signature is provided with the Wireless Advanced Control Pedal that gives the practitioner more freedom to control the machine. The wireless capability of the Control Pedal is achieved via Bluetooth connection. The wireless setup also eliminates the clutter and the need for cables in the operating room.
The Whitestar Signature also utilizes the ELLIPS FX Technology to enhance followability and effectively hold fragments at the tip end. The technology allows for smooth cutting while enhancing the system efficiency without the need for the surgeons to adjust or change their preferred techniques.
