The Bovie IDS 400 Electrosurgical Unit delivers consistent and reliable performance through its four key technologies. First is the Bovie FDFS (Fast Digital Feedback System), for digitally-controlled CUT and COAG function. Second is the Bovie NEM (Neutral Electrode Monitoring) which improves patient safety with latest digital implementation able to measure tissue impedance at a rate of 5,000/sec. A third technology is the enhanced Bovie FCFS (First Come First Serve) which allows only one output to be active at a time. The last one is the Bovie DED (Digital Error Detection) that automatically disables the device then alerting the user of the error. In addition, the Bovie IDS 400 has a bipolar mode, three cut modes, and two coag modes. It's designed for use in progressive OR and surgical outpatient centers.
