The Drager Air Shields C450 Infant Incubator provides a thermally controlled recovery environment for the ill or premature newborn. It is equipped with a microprocessor that controls temperature, humidity, and oxygen concentration. It regulates temperature based either on the incubator's air or on the infant's skin temperature. A sensing probe constantly monitors the air or the infant's skin and then shuts down the heater if the temperature exceeds the prescribe threshold. In the event that primary power is interrupted, it issues an audible alarm and activates indicator lights for Power Fail. If an internal malfunction is detected, the System Fail indicator flashes and the alarm sounds. These safety features ensures efficient device operation and ensures that technical or safety concerns are addressed promptly.
