The GE Vivid q Portable Ultrasound has a compact and laptop size design but delivers superior ultrasound imaging wherever the need arises, and in any clinical setting. It provides high quality image display with its 15-inch LCD monitor having 1600 x 1200 display resolution, and applies various image enhancement technology. For example, its CrossXBeam imaging technology combines three or more frame from different angles to create a single image with improved border definition while its Speckle Reduction Imaging (SRI) is an adaptive software algorithm that heightens visibility through enhanced contrast resolution. In addition, its Tissue Harmonic Imaging allows deep penetration to aid in scanning smaller objects, and its Tissue Synchronization Imaging (TSI) interprets comprehensive measurements into an easy-to-understand image especially when scanning muscular tissues of the heart.

This portable ultrasound machine allows easy user interface with its full size QWERTY alphanumeric keyboard and dedicated buttons for specific applications. With its TEE Imaging and through the use of other optional transducers, it gains versatility to provide its high level functions to a wide range of clinical applications. In addition, it provides a convenient storage for diagnostic files with its 80GB internal hard drive and is equipped with USB ports for fast and uncomplicated transfer of files to other media.
