The Hospira Plum A+3 Infusion Pump is a casette based multi-function system, and has six lines designed to administer fluids needed by the patient at standard, piggyback, or concurrent delivery. Its functional flexibility makes it suitable for use in different areas of healthcare, such as but not limited to - general floor, ICU/CCU, Operating Room/Anesthesia, Oncology, Hemodialysis, Pediatrics, Neonatolgy, Nutrition, and even at Post Op/Recovery.
Clear and easy-to-follow screen prompts which displays predefined dosing parameters enhances the safety feature of this system. A mandatory confirmation for dosage prevents mistakes which may result to costly medication errors.
It also has an optional MedNet Software, which is dependable in generating real-time reports and in gathering data while the machine is at work. This is useful for usage tracking and to identify trends and areas for improvement. The program also enforces best practices defined by the healthcare facility, and stores all information related to its use during IV therapy sessions.
