The Karl Storz C-MAC S Imager 8403XS is the imaging source used together of the C-MAC system and is used in conjunction with a disposable video laryngoscope blade. Its CMOS camera and LED light source provide high quality live feed to the video laryngoscope monitor through a direct and secured connection. It is easy to install and disassemble due to its built-in hooking mechanism with the single-use blade. The C-MAC S Imager 8403XS also has an integrated BlueButton that provides a fast and easy way to capture still images and videos. In instances where there are visible residues on the C-MAC S Imager then high level disinfection is needed, otherwise a low level disinfection will be sufficient. The C-MAC S Imager is immersed in a disinfectant solution in a prescribed duration of exposure during reprocessing, and is rinsed several times to remove all chemical residues.
