The Leica M651 is a surgical microscope for use various technical, industrial, and research applications. Developed by Leica Microsystems and designed to simplify a surgeon's task, the M651 features a number of innovative technologies that make it the best option for practicing microsurgical techniques.
The M651 surgical microscope is provided with a built-in coaxial lighting. It is designed to emit a bright and even illumination to the target area even if it is located in a difficult to reach position. The microscope is also equipped with a quartz halogen illuminator that works in tandem with the complex system of collector lenses to uniformly provide the best lighting for a particular field of view.
The easy-grip controls of the M651 feature an ergonomic design and a logical layout to ensure fast routine reactions. The magnification changer and focusing drive are arranged in state in which the distance to the operating area is as short as possible. It is also provided with a 180-degree dual stereo attachment which allows the microscope to be used by a two-surgeon team, and a focusing drive with a mid-range indicator which simplifies the setup process of the microscope.
The Leica M651 is designed to be compatible to a number of floor stands and ceiling mounts that allow it to be mobile and easily maneuverable. Together with the foot stands and ceiling mounts, the innovative illumination system, optical system, the ergonomic design of the handgrip allow the M651 to be used for ophthalmology, back surgery, plastic surgery, gynecology, and urology.
