The Leica M690 is a surgical microscope for use in the field of Ophthalmology. Designed by Leica Microsystems to simplify the surgeon's task, the M690 is a compact, easy-to-handle, and versatile operating microscope that is widely considered as the finest eye microscope in existence.
The M690 is equipped with a 0-180 degree inclinable binocular. It is provided with a 175mm, 200mm objective lens designed to enhance red reflex. The magnification changer is motorized and has a 1:5 ratio. The Focus function is also motorized and can travel by 50mm.
The operating microscope is compatible with the MSC mounting system. The MSC has a 34-inch horizontal reach, a 25-inch vertical reach, and a rotation angle of 360-degrees. These features allow the M690 to have greater maneuvering capabilities. The modular design of the M690 also reduces the downtime of the surgical microscope.
