The Leica M844 is a surgical microscope for use in the field of Ophthalmology. Developed by Leica Microsystems, the M844 features innovative technologies, including but not limited to the APO OptiChrome optics, Leica QuadZoom, Leica OttoFlex II, and Double Wing Assistant Bridge, that make the operating microscope particularly well suited for posterior and high-end anterior segment surgery.
The M844 surgical microscope is equipped with APO OptiChrome optics, Leica QuadZoom, and Leica OttoFlex II to help with delivering razor-sharp images. The APO OptiChrome is a high-performance optics configured to provide high-contrast, brilliant colors, crisp image definition, and outstanding resolution. The Leica QuadZoom is an optical system that has four beam paths and has 100 percent stereopsis for surgeon and assistant. The Leica OttoFlex II is an illumination module that can increase the red reflex, reduce the stray light through the sclera, and increase the image contrast.
The scanned parts are digitally recorded using the compact and integrated Med X Change HDMD PRO. The Med X Change HDMD PRO is adapted to provide high-quality videos, and still images which can be used for archiving or presentation. The information can also be transferred wirelessly to an Apple device using the Med X Mobile.
The Leica M844 is compatible with the Leica 19 floor stand, Leica L20 floor stand, the Leica L40 floor stand, the Leica C40 ceiling mount, the CT40 ceiling mount. All these features collaborate to provide a surgical microscope that delivers enhanced image details, improved patient safety, and comfortable working conditions for the surgeons.
