The Medfusion 2010i Syringe Pump is a portable instrument used for delivering intravenous fluids and is ideal either for in-patient or ambulatory use. It can be powered either by an AC source or by its internal rechargeable batteries. With its four infusion modes: body-weight, milligrams per hour, milliliters per hour, and volume over time, it is able to adapt to different needs of a patient.
A simple interface makes sequential programming easy for the user. Available selections are flashed on the display screen, and these options can be selected using the keypad. For example, in setting the desired infusion mode, the user can press the select button to navigate through the four modes, then press enter to choose the desired mode.
A smooth operation is ensured by its various alarms. These indicate a broad range of incidents - near empty syringe, empty syringe, volume limit reached, occlusion, systems malfunction, invalid syringe size, and more. These alarms also enhance safety, as responding to it correctly assures that the patient receives the necessary therapy in a timely manner.
This instrument can store up to an enhanced number (64) of user protocols from all modes except volume over time.
