The Olympus BF-Q190 is a video bronchoscope used for bronchoscopy applications in hospitals and clinics. It is built with enhanced handling capabilities, designed for improved functionality, and delivers image quality comparable to the high-end Olympus flagship designs. Its high-resolution image quality which enables more detailed observation of bronchial surfaces. It uses Narrow Band Imaging (NBI) technology, an optical image enhancement that creates a visual contrast of vessels on the mucosal surface while improving brightness at fifty percent. The BF-Q190 also allows for 1.2x to 1.5x electronic magnification to enable closer observation of the subject, while its insertion tube is redesigned so it can be rotated left or right up to 120 degrees by a ring on the control section of the scope and thus reduce operator fatigue. The BF-Q190 also has a wider angulation range of 210 degrees to facilitate smoother insertion into the upper lobe bronchi. It also allows more of a bend in the scope when an EndoTherapy device is inserted into its working channel.
