The Olympus CLV-S30 Xenon Light Source has exceptional illumination power ideal for use in endoscopic surgical procedures, made possible by its 300 Watt Xenon lamp. It assures visibility even in remote recesses of the human anatomy. Its improved reliability and flexible array of functions makes it compatible with a wide range of endosurgical techniques. It is also designed to be user friendly, its front panel features convenient switches where the user can select functions and know at a glance what the current settings are.

It also has a unique built-in spare lamp for increased reliability. If the main lamp burns out in the middle of an observation or treatment, the light source can switch to its built-in 150Watt halogen spare lamp at a convenient flip of a lever. This allows surgeons to continue and finish an on-going procedure. A lamp-life meter is also provided to help monitor its lamp usage and then predict when the next replacement would be.
