The Olympus GIF-1TH190 is a therapeutic video gastroscope used in hospitals and clinics for therapy and gastrointestinal endoscopy applications. Capable of delivering HDTV image quality and featuring a slim design and a Close Focus system, it is ideal for providing high quality visualization and accurate observation of mucosal morphology, vascular patterns, and blood vessels. It uses Narrow Band Imaging (NBI) technology which provides twice the viewing distance for the scopes, while also creating a visual contrast in mucosal morphology, vascular patterns, and blood vessel form even in cases of Barrett's esophagus. Its Close Focus system also allows for close observation of the mucosal surface without the need for electronic magnification. Its slim design strikes an improved balance of size and performance, having a distal end with outer diameter measuring 10.0 millimeters, an insertion tube with outer diameter measuring 10.9 millimeters, an instrument channel with inner diameter measuring 3.7 millimeters, a 4-way angulation system, and a broad 140-degree field of view. The GIF-1TH190 has a waterproof one-touch connector devised to reduce effort for setting up the device, and it can be entirely submerged to eliminate the need for a water-resistant cap and the associated risk of costly repairs due to accidental submersion.
