The Olympus OTV-S190 HDTV Camera Console is equipped with a brighter and more powerful Narrow Band Imaging (NBI) feature. It is able to deliver images with significantly increased brightness and contrast. Surgeons can rely on the video feed under NBI to perform a wide range of surgical procedures. This, combined with its 3D noise reduction, provides the best possible quality and enables surgeons to make detailed observation of organs and tissues.

The system also has a pre-freeze function, which improves the quality of captured still images. Using a portable memory, it can conveniently store still images either in TIFF or JPEG file format. On the other hand, a Digital Video Recorder (DVR) can be attached to capture video recordings.

The console can also accept data of patients, with the use of its keyboard, before the surgical procedure. It can store the ID number, name, sex, age, and date of birth of up to 40 patients.
