The Oridion Capnostream 20 Capnograph uses Microstream technology to monitor the concentration or partial pressure of carbon dioxide (or CO2) in the respiratory gases. It provides accurate, continuous view of ventilation adequacy on intubated and non-intubated neonate to adult patients as a monitoring tool for use ideally during anesthesia and intensive care. Its integrated Microstream Smart Capnography is also a proprietary technology that uses unique algorithms to reduce clinically insignificant alarms and provide clinical utility for improved patient safety. It can connect to nurse call, paging, and central monitoring systems for enhanced efficiency. Its large, bright color display is easy to use and navigate, and the device can conveniently run on battery power for two hours during patient transports. It also has a standard USB output used to export data for comprehensive documentation.
