The Pentax EB-1970K is a video bronchoscope used for diagnosis and treatment of respiratory diseases in hospitals and clinics. It is designed to facilitate detailed examinations in a manner that is more comfortable for the patient. It provides optical visualization of and therapeutic access to the airway and bronchial tree, including, but not limited to, the organs, tissues, and subsystems such as the nasal passage and trachea. The EB-1970K features an insertion tube with a diameter of 6.3 millimeters, an instrument channel with a diameter of 2.8 millimeters, and a 600-millimeter working length. These features facilitate easy insertion to decrease procedure time and improve patient comfort. It has an ergonomically designed grip which improves device handling and maneuverability. The suction valves and angulation levers strategically positioned to enhance the bronchoscope's balance and ease of operation. The EB-1970K is compatible with Pentax's EPK-1000 and EPK-700 complete endoscopy systems, and Pentax's EPK-1000, EPK-700, and EPK-i video processors.
